I don't think the money grabbing speculators expected there to still be stock in the shops. Serves them right after having to wait 4 months to get a 360 last year. PS3 is currently contributing 338TFLOPS with around 13k active CPUs, compared to 151TFLOPS and 160k active CPUs for Windows machines. I think it has pushed the Folding project over Seti as the biggest distributed computing project. It will be interesting to see how these numbers sustain as the novelty wears off though. ray marshall Posted March 24, 2007 Share Posted March 24, 2007 is it me or is the ps3 a scratch magnet?........me and a mate saw it running virtua fighter 5 tonight and couldnt see anything about it thats better than the 360 in graphics or movement, and casino royale didnt look any better than the dvd print of it......and it comes in at only 25gig...thats 5 gigs less than hd dvd, so much for the superior movie format the funniest thing about the ps3 launch over here is the amount of staff that were out asking folk if they were going to buy a ps3, most got met with laughter, but the majority of people asked them how much the wii's are, then bought the wii's they had on the shelves! oh dear........ Yeah, thats right, looks just as good as the 360, but on launch day. how longs the 360 been out? Really poor to be comparing the very first film out on it too. Aren't you bored yet? You've got some Liverpool vs Man U issues goin' on Ray, is it a scratch magnet? If thats the best you can come up with then i'll take it as a good sign. ray marshall Posted March 24, 2007 Share Posted March 24, 2007 casino royale is supposed to show the power of the ps3 as a flagship bd title!!!!...thats what fonys blurb goes onabout how much more superior its supposed to be........ and i dont have any liverpool or whatever issues as i cant stand footy, less of course you mean summat else...... the best is what you've over looked, is that it doesnt look or feel any better than the 360 on the screen, and it is a scratch magnet, theres no way your going to keep that breezeblock in good nick when its propping up your car and you cant call that a successful launch at all, they get upstaged in paris by microsoft, australia couldnt give a toss, germany etc the list goes on, talk about starting a party which they were late getting too and now all the guests have gone ..... beware the failure of ps3....
