The divx works well, dare I say better than on the 360 (with the bonus of extra quietness) Looks like when I have both working the PS3 will be the no1 choice as a media player (if not for games) Provided you don't want to view HD eh? Forza 2 is the worst for that, it keeps the disc spinning at full whack all the bloody time, on top of the system fans going flat out as well. I was playing it late one night and out of respect for the neighbours had the volume turned right down on the speakers, the 360 made substantially more noise than the engines in the game did...... Yeah the 360 is a pretty horrendous piece of hardware insofar as they've tried to cram too much stuff into too small a box, I'd happily have one that's half as big again if it meant they could get some decent fans in there (larger, hence slower spinning and make less noise). One thing Sony got right with "next-gen" and the PS3 is accepting that such a powerful console needed some space to breathe, and they sized it accordingly. I'll get COD4 on the PC anyway, since I'm such a spazzo with the pad in FPS games Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
