Unfortunately, we live in a very litigious society These schemes have been running in the UK for many years now and I'm not aware of anyone who has been sued over there. The sorts of people that the responders are sent to are those that are not breathing etc and anything you can do is a benefit to them - if nothing is done then they will be dead.
