Higgy
I wonder if the prices for gas and electricity on the Isle of Man will be cut? Probably not http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6341185.stm
Lonan3
LINK The fuel cost adjustment is to be lowered to zero with effect from the first of March this year. In real terms this will to equate to a reduction of around £33 per year for the average household. Chairman of the Manx Electricity Authority, Eddie Teare, says the reductions have been made possible by careful planning, and he believes the lower tariffs will remain in place for the foreseeable future. matty
What's the score on VAT on our 'utitility' bills?? Gas is usually 5% VAT, Eleccy I've seen at 17.5% ?? Isn't the 'Leccy' bill also a utility? - and if we're paying 5% VAT on Gas, aren't we already paying that to the MEA anyway?? I'm confused!
