I got one of those free Retirement Pension Forecast's done in August last year by the IOM DHSS which said that up to that point my state pension would be, wait for it, £24.78 a week (at today's rates). What's the point in saying that? I'll (hopefully) take my retirement from there and if I pop my clogs at 65 or 105, that's my business. I thought I had said I'm thinking about starting saving for my pension now and seeing as I'm in my mid-20's, I'd say that's pretty sensible.
