Recommended Posts

Voting is taking place on the Isle of Man for a new member to join the board of Michael Commissioners. Landscape gardener Brian Kewley, from Onchan, and youth worker and computer engineer Michael Neary of the Liberal Vannin Party are contesting the seat.

Why would someone from Onchan want to be a commissioner in Michael?

A good question. But then, no-one seemed to ask, at a previous local election, why a McDonalds worker from Douglas wanted to be a Commissioner in Onchan.

The candidate from Onchan has family and other connections in Michael and was brought up there and went to Michael Primary School.
