copycat
Pre-supposing that the special resolution tabled at the Co's AGM being held tomorrow amending the borrowing powers of the directors is passed then they will be able to commit the Co to a borrowing in excess of £27 million. Then they can commit that without approval of the shareholders. What's worth spending more than £27million on in the IOM by a local company? Gladys
Look forward to hearing how the AGM goes. Are there plans to actually borrow this amount rather than just have the power to do so? It would also be interesting to learn of your reason for holding Sefton Group shares; is it to second guess the management all the time, or to have an investment with the prospect of income and capital appreciation? Pre-supposing that tomorow, the directors decide hotels just aren't their thing and pass a special resolution to move into hiring psychotic bloosthirsty mercenaries left over from the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo as private security guards who will patrol the Island in heavily armoured Mad-Max-mobiles, can any of us in the Island feel safe?! What would happen if, instead of amending their borrowing powers, they used their psy-ops facilities to manufacture LSD and dump it into the Island's reservoirs? It's terrifying to imagine. And what makes you think they'd spend the £27 million in the Isle of Man? And why go after the Sefton Group? Did you get sacked from there as well? Millman
What's worth spending more than £27million on in the IOM by a local company? This IRIS scheme? A 5star luxury prison? A flat in Jersey for every MHK? A slate roof for the hospital? A very big hat? Hookers? The list is endless...
ans
And why go after the Sefton Group? Did you get sacked from there as well? From what he's implied, he owns a few shares he's disappointed with the dividend on. However, he's too much of a pussy to speak up at the AGM so prefers to 'anonymously' snipe on an internet message board.
copycat
The change pushed through at the recent AGM allows for an increase in the Sefton's debt to some £47million. Is all that money going to be spent on the IOM or is it all heading south (of the river). And isn't the new public bar instead of the Wallberry Suite going to be like a Den.
