John Quaye Posted March 20, 2007 Share Posted March 20, 2007 On 25th November 2006 a posting was made on this site under the name of “Cholmondley-Warner”. This name was a pseudonym for myself, John Quaye. That posting made serious allegations in relation to Mr Albert Gubay, which allegations are, I now accept, completely false. I particularly regret those allegations having been published on the site, particularly in the context of Mr Gubay having recently made very substantial donations to charity including Isle of Man Sports Council, Isle of Man Department of Education, The Genesis Appeal, and Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Mr Gubay deserved to be congratulated rather than defamed in those circumstances, and I unreservedly withdraw the allegations made and apologise to Mr Gubay. As a token of my apology I am now donating to Breakthrough Breast Cancer the sum of £2,500.00 in lieu of payment of costs and damages to Mr Gubay.
