Excuse my language but you really are fucking muppet. Slavery is being taken from your home, usually by forceful means, and made to work in appalling conditions. Historically it was obviously Africans to other parts of the world (which the Isle of Man was involved with and which made places like Liverpool rich). More recently its innocent girls from Eastern Europe being tricked into prostitution in the west. Someone getting paid less than the minimum wage is, not even using your ridiculous imagination, slavery. The reality is that we're all slaves to the system, otherwise we'd starve - try not going into work for a few months and let the bills mount up! If the IOM has to apologise, then so should the tribal leaders of the west coast of Africa for their complicity in feeding slaves to the traders at the ports. Interesting programme last week in which a black Briton traced his Jamaican slave ancestry back to Nigeria and found some uncomfortable truths about 'the trade'.
