That name was, in fact, a pseudonym for Mr John Quaye. That posting made an allegation in relation to Mr Albert Gubay, which Mr Gubay states was untrue, and we now accept it was untrue. Whilst we have no immediate control over the contents of postings, we arranged for its removal forthwith upon its false and offensive content being drawn to our attention. Notwithstanding that Manxforums is neither a publisher nor editor but merely a carrier with no control over individual posters, it apologises to Mr Gubay for the post having been carried, and for any offence or inconvenience caused to him. As a token of our apology we confirm that we have contributed the sum of £1,500.00 to Breakthrough Breast Cancer, one of the charities recently supported by Mr Gubay’s generosity, in lieu of payment of costs and damages to Mr Gubay.
