mtj73
That's a lot black smoke for a boat just arriving, I have seen it before on other boats when the engines are cold or been ticking over for a while but not after a run across the Irish sea. Looks like we are getting another bag of crap that no one else wants.
Nitro
So how much did this thing cost?
BigDave
I thought this one was only on Charter for the summer season? I didn't think they'd found anything to buy.
mtj73
I have just seen the other photos from that series and it is going out and not arriving so the smoke is quite normal. There is still a bit of work to do though, has this boat been out of service for a while?
manxman8180
yes, it's been laid up for quite a while, so the 'deficiencies' are to be expected. It's not doing anything for a while, so I'm sure it will be sorted for when it's needed...................
copycat
but hardly 'definciencies' when you bear in mind it was previously operated by a French company - that was probably a usual operating standard.

Tempus Fugit
slight corrections, the belch of black smoke was as she was arriving from Tilbury (not Liverpool) she was spotted doing about 21kt passing IoW, and she aborted her entry and did a u-turn when she left the black smoke and did a lap of the bay whilst SSC2 entered port nobody's mentioned the M/F Finnsailor yet !
