grant Posted May 21, 2007 Share Posted May 21, 2007 When the SSC2 returned from its major gearbox repair, then immediately needed further work, the engineers pointed that it was built for the med, not the Irish sea, so every time it drops down hard into a trough, something either, bends, breaks or comes undone. The Old Git Posted May 22, 2007 Share Posted May 22, 2007 Apparently the reason SS2 was going round in circles on Saturday midday when she was approaching the Mersey was because she was down to 2 engines and could not proceed into the river until a third engine was up and running. 4hours and 47 minutes for the trip! Still, it's getting appaling now, there is a nice big fast craft in Australia, could be converted to pax service... blah blah blah no point nothing will ever change.
