Tempus Fugit
I see that last monday SSC2 left the liverpool docks area, had a little trip out the channel and returned to go into Cammel Laird (or whatever it is now called) dry dock
John Wright
getting reday for annual inspection and certification After all it takes over all sailings in exactly 4 weeks time when the Ben goes in for overhaul and its not SSC2 anymore isn't it Snaefell, or Viking

monasqueen
I've heard skeet that while superseacat has gone into drydock, seacat is still not yet fully repaired, so neither of them will be able to take over when Ben goes in at the end of the month......... VikingRaider
My money is on them cancelling the Ben drydock anyway as the loss of the Riverdance will make it rather difficult to secure a freight ship replacement.
AlexMcC
There is still three weeks to go so I guess we will see. Seatruck's first new ferry is due to arrive in a few weeks anyway, it may be that the SPC can charter the ship thats been chartered to cover Riverdance in that case. Tempus Fugit
Viking just left its berth (13.30) and slowly making its way through the docks to come out through the lock gates (13.45) 14.25 - just escaped into the mersey !. exactly why they called it Viking is beyond me, there must be about 6 ships with Viking in the name currently using Liverpool, (Mersey Viking, Lagan Viking, Liverpool Viking, etc., suppose they wouldn't call it Manx Viking for shame's sake) and could easily cause confusion ! triskelion
Who on Earth ever sees the outside of the thing for more than a few minutes? Rather than wasting money on a paint job they should have installed free wi-fi and more plug sockets or something.
