thebees
The Bay Queen is up for sale, this might be old news. Anyone know what has happened to the people who were going to develop it? it's weird, I remember they got planning permission and there was a sale of internal fixtures/fittings. If it was listed then surely they shouldnt have been permitted to strip the building then just sell it on, the fixtures and fittings of a listed building should be protected too - obviously not all but enough to retain a purpose. It is quite sad that such magnificent buildings (often with significant local history) are stripped and laid to ruin by 'development' companies. jim
They did spend some money on the place, there is a big lift shafy/ fire escape thingy added on the side now that must have cost a bit, all fairly nicely blended in to.

lectro
Surely that eyesore is not listed? It's a monstrosity that's totally outdated and out of place.
thebees
The other end of the Island to Ramsey. Nice little place between Castletown and Port Erin (I'm presuming you have heard of them).
