Castle Mona - Demolition

Nice to see the big demolition equipment in action on the Old Court House thread pics courtesy of Amadeus.

Where are the dozers off to next?

The Castle Mona.

Has anyone noticed its not being got ready for TT week.

To the contrary all the downstairs windows have been boarded over (which conveniently will stop people noticing the interior being stripped out and demolition preparatory work taking place)

I think you'll find that when Sefton Group are happy with the survey, restoration plans, approval for restoration, approval for partial demolition.... they can then start this type of work.

You may also find when the time comes, it will be the superbowl/breeze complex and the bedrooms above that were added to the builing in decades & decades ago that will be coming down, also the floors above the Office Longe-bar, as all these are extensions to the original building.

I remember when they were going to turn the roof of breeze into a massive glazed atrium, this would have been an extension to chill.., a nice one at that!
