copycat
Nice to see the big demolition equipment in action on the Old Court House thread pics courtesy of Amadeus. Where are the dozers off to next? The Castle Mona. Has anyone noticed its not being got ready for TT week. To the contrary all the downstairs windows have been boarded over (which conveniently will stop people noticing the interior being stripped out and demolition preparatory work taking place)
Slim
Copycat, why do you post new threads without responding in threads you've already created?

Deejay Denzel
I think you'll find that when Sefton Group are happy with the survey, restoration plans, approval for restoration, approval for partial demolition.... they can then start this type of work. You may also find when the time comes, it will be the superbowl/breeze complex and the bedrooms above that were added to the builing in decades & decades ago that will be coming down, also the floors above the Office Longe-bar, as all these are extensions to the original building. I remember when they were going to turn the roof of breeze into a massive glazed atrium, this would have been an extension to chill.., a nice one at that! Planning Application – **/*****/* – Castle Mona Hotel, Castle Drive, Douglas The Committee considered planning application 03/01618/B for the creation of a roof terrace/garden and glazed entrance atrium and alterations on north extension of Castle Mona Hotel, Castle Drive, Douglas. Resolved, “That the particulars of the application be noted on the minutes and that no objection be made but that consideration be given to the following observation: The Castle Mona is a registered building and the Committee wishes it to be considered in that respect.”
