pamplemousse
was this the gig that was free for anyone involved in the TT like marshals etc? Yep, free for fireman, policemen, marshalls, street sweepers, blondes, brunettes, men and women. Hee hee. I know it's easy to knock but I was there and thought it was pretty cool. Chris Norman's not my thing - I don't really see the point of him or indeed any man who wears a black satin-y shirt (matching bedsheets, anyone?) - but Bonnie was a blast: she's as mad as a parrot with scurvy. And Robin Gibb's band were bloody fantastic. Respect to the man for ripping through all the Bee Gees classics and not boring us with 'here's a flimsy piece of tedium off my new solo album which pales in comparison with the stuff we did in our glory days'. He gave his quota of complimentary tickets to the emergency services and the proceeds from the gig to Noble's Children Ward - good self-promotion, yup, but still a damn decent gesture....
