Gladys
There are indeed. Only done Dhoon Glen once, very hard work but worth it. Molly Quirk's on Whitebridge is easier and just as lovely. Garwick is worth a go too. Take the right turning before the post office in Baldrine and park in the little lay by. Beautiful beach.
grant
Only been to Dhoon Glen once also, now if the young chap gives me any lip, I threaten to take him down there again. It works and he behaves.

The glen is and has been for many years, but you can walk down a signposted pathway from the road that I described above. There is also a track from the top of the hill after the sharp right hander which takes you down to the beach. By the by, I did have permission many years ago to walk through the glen from the then owners. Never used it though.
thebees
Laxey Glen gardens are brill too. Shame they got rid of the boating lake that was pretty, theres a great rock in the river on the path up to the glen, its most tempting to try and jump on to it Laxey on the whole is a great village full of nice things to do and places to walk. Garwick glen is definitely private. If the owners give you any trouble maybe you could try throwing rotting vegetables back at them.
