keyboarder
Who on earth is responsible for these? It's like being in the Lido circa late eighties.
slinkydevil
Agreed. I'm sure they just churn out the same playlist every year.
manxman123
I really don't see how you can say that it is all late eighties. I have been listening today and heard music from Oasis, Travis, Blur, Lightning Seeds, Mika, Nickelback, Blink 182, Kaiser Chiefs, Keane and more recent and less well know stuff Biffy Clyro, Wombats, The Enemy, Muse, Bloc Party. So saying that everything is the same every year and it is all late eighties, is a very sweeping statement!
studmuffin
three fm was quality today, all day eighties music spend most of it thinking who the fuck sang that very good !
energy80s
Didn't Radio TT used to operate an Album Rock / Classic Rock format? It's only in recent years that a lot of dodgy pop music has invaded the playlists!!!
Slim
spend most of it thinking who the fuck sang that Gah and because they never have any bloody dj's you never get the answer!
Rhumsaa
I'd be happy if it was classic driving rock all day - wall to wall cheese more like
lurk
After listenin to yesterdays's Manx Radio's self congratulatory slap on the back about the start up of Manx Radio, I realise they were the naughty radicals of the broadcasting world and had to muscle in o nthe broadcasting of the TT by settinmg up naghty caravan's around the course and hadn't to upset the BBC who broadcast back in the old days. Charlie Webster and Co were pretty naughty boys in them days. It is a pityu that Manx Radio stopped others from muscling in like Energy broadcsting the TT. Double Standrards, Yep. you id dead riigt. Gobbing off about how naughty they were once and then being worse than BBC is pretty bad.
sarahc
Radio TT wouldn't be Radio TT without Rainbow and Thin Lizzy.
keyboarder
Radio TT wouldn't be Radio TT without Rainbow and Thin Lizzy. Yes quite. It seems to be the last refuge of the overdriven pentatonic scale lol,lol....

sarahc
Ah but they played Led Zeppelin before. You won't get that any other time of the year. And it wasn't that Stairway snooze fest either. Rock and Roll.
semolina pilchard
Last year a pal of mine who has a band enquired at Manx Radio as to who was in charge of music, with a view to getting his new cd playlisted for TT, he was told to contact Alex Brindley. And Why do we get the dreadful Andy Mitchell on Radio TT every year, what's that all about?
sarahc
I used to agree, then I got into it. It's the only time of year they do this, the rest of the time it's gay 80s disco.
