I saw Johnny Briggs driving a Looney's van out of the car park near Boilley Spittal in Peel about 25 years ago.

And I served Rick Wakeman's wife in Shoprite in Douglas about 17 years ago. Sorry, can't remember what she bought.

By christ, I feel old.

I was once behind Rick Wakeman in the queue at Shoprite in Douglas. He was buying a lot of dog food I seem to remember.

And I sat next to John Rhys-Davies on a Manx Airlines flight to Heathrow when he was flying back to LA to film Sliders.

Sat next to Nigel Mansell 15 or 16 years ago on a flight from Heathrow back to the island.

He was a lot shorter than I expected him to be , but a bigger tosser than I could have possibly imagined :-D

About 25 years ago, I worked on the Manx Viking and actually met (and took money off -) Shakatak - remember them?? Barbara Dicksons' roadie, the Searchers, Terry Utley from Smokie, the only original band member left. That is all that jogs my memory from there, but when I worked int he casinio, I met Ben E King (he was lovely), Derek Batey, Bob Monkhouse, Hugh Sculley and his antiques roadshow shower of wotsit. I am sure there were more.

In England I have seen David Jason sunbathing alongside us in the Pavillion at Brighton and he spoke.

The tall geezer out of Butterflies (the dad in the prog) walking through London, the white woman out of Love They Neighbour in a furniture shop, one of the Roly Pollys shopping in Blackpool. I am sure I spotted Malcolm from Watching - remember that fab prog..... in Preston.

I worked at a posh supermarket about 12 months back and Dave Spikey was in there almost once a week so was some young geezer out of HollyOaks all the young uns would swoon over him.

When I worked in a casino in Essex there were a couple of croupier/actors, one was in the film The Bitch as a croupier and the other guy has had several parts in progs such as The Bill and Lovejoy.

Also met all the band members (apart from Heather small though I have seen her live) from M People

I was doing a job in his house once and he tried to sell me a motorbike that he'd won as he wasn't allowed to ride it in case he injured himself. When he went out his bloody phone wouldn't stop ringing and as it was getting annoying I answered it and took a message, could he ring Frank (Williams) when he returned. At least I knew who he'd be driving for next season

Also did a job in one of the Bee Gee's bedrooms on Belmont Hill and sat on his bed having a cup of tea and a chat with him.

Delivered some stuff to Nazereth's studio, think it was in Baldwin

Had Molly Sugden in the shop once, but not in a sexual manner ;)

About 30 years ago, Fred Dibnah was staying at a house where I was babysitting in Laxey. He was over for some dinner presentation thingy and was a friend of the family who's kids I was looking after.

Sat on the next table as Renée Zellweger in Costa Coffee and have to agree with Girl89, she is so small

ooh - Me and Mrs X saw her on the prom jogging along. She stopped and said hello (again) and we had a good ol' chin wag.

Saw the bloke who played Ronnie Corbett's father in Sorry walking through Peel about 20 years ago. How we laughed when we all yelled 'language Timothy' at him. I bet it was the first time he heard it.

Also I was on a flight to the Island about 2 years ago which had Ziggy Greaves off Grange Hill on it.

Finally I was sat on a table outside The Queens on senior race day next to TV's very own Mike 'I know nothing about motorbikes' Brewer and Jane Whatserface

Manx Airlines flight in 1995/6, arrived in Ronaldsway, got up out of my seat and turned around to get a facefull of Gabriel Byrne, presumably over to work on the progenitor of the IoM Film Industry, The Brylcreem Boys.

Colm Meaney in a donkey jacket in Tescos late on a Fri, looking mean and somewhat cheesed off...

Jethro Bovington (not particularly famous) and Kenny P (possibly infamous car and pike photographer) from EVO Magazine in Ballaugh this Mad Sunday, taking the cameras off their Ariel Atom Supercharged because it was too wet for photos.
