But since it would be daft to have a Declan on Earth and an exact replica on Mars, they killed the original in the transporter machine. But no one knew this happend and just thought that the person was being transported. Ooh, nice story. I liked stephen kings take on it in 'jaunt' where they had to knock you out to transport or your conciousness spent a near eternety in the void inbetween.
