I fI can hear it sung in Manks then I'd be prepared to give it a go and sing it phonetically every time I hear the tune - if it were played back-to-back with the english language version each night on Manx Radio that would be a start so surely this is something where the fabled MR trustees should take a stance. Now that over half the population of the island were born elsewhere and only a small minority believe in god may I suggest the time might be right to have a new version for the 21st century.
