blue kipper
This road has now got beyond a joke. Firstly, Vicarage Road was closed for many weeks past the Garden Centre whilst they relaid drainage pipes (and afterwards the road surface was still bloody shocking and remains so) and then there was all the pollava with the widening of the Peel Road junction, which could do with being wider still. Saddlestone has over the last couple of years been one the Island's biggest DOT gatherings, what with the above roadworks and the Meadow Crescent roundabout. 10 weeks from Monday? All I can say is that I will be walking to work and closely observing those potholes outside the church to see if they are filled in!
Albert Tatlock
"Department of Transport schemes manager Jim Davidson" It would explain a lot if the DoT are indeed employing comics. Perhaps we can get Norman Wisdom into Tynwald.
The Thriller
When they say widening, do they mean the road or the BLOODY PATH. THE TW*TS
TerryMcCann
How wide will it be when it is completed? I'm expecting American freeway dimensions when I next go up there
John Wright
The road way wil be 7.5 metres, same as the rest of the outer Douglas link plus any pavement The junction at Peel Road is to be a round a about but I am not sure if that is included in this phase
