Stored Mer Trams To Be Possibly Sold On Ebay ?

One of the news stories in this week's Examiner is that the government is possibly considering sell off some of the old, out of use stored trams on eBay as one possible way to solve the problem.

It's a way to solve the problem by threatening to do the worst just to get action/response from the railway enthusiasts. They want rid, but the local railway enthusiasts don't want to take responsibility for them either. Hence, it's a catch 22 situation with the tax payers having to pay for these trams to be stored while stalemate exists.

Selling them on eBay is not the answer... Buyer collects perchance ?? The local haulage companies will be happy.

they should give them to the MNH along with Ramsey Pier - MNH is wasting £5m a year already on the Heritage Centre, Laxey Wheel etc. the more attractions they've got the lower the average loss would be.

I wonder how much MNH costs per resident, per visitor, per seagull............

It's only taxpayer's money so why bother? There are plenty more white elephants to go with them..
