Noble's Hospital

There seems to be some activity at the old Noble's Hospital site. Are they creeping back in?

The usual plan when you build a new hospital these days is to sell off the old site and use the money to fund new services.

We seem to be running two hospitals at great expense.

We could use the old Noble's to house all these historic trams when they get evicted in 2009... It could be a new transport museum.

Yes, there are a fair few departments still using the old hospital buildings, also when nurses move over here they get 6ish months in the old hospital whilst finding their own accomodation. For the TT etc, temp staff stay there, without this I don't really know where else they'd find over TT.

Old Nobles Hospital = Loads of day surgery accommodation for health related matters at a very low cost!

The building is owned by Government and there are no planning issues etc, all of which adds up to value for money for the Isle of Man Taxpayer.

If the building was not used for the above matters then believe me it would be swallowed into apartments and other private developments.
