"I would expect that this would be the case regardless of whether any further police action is taken for the offences, if not then we ask whether the parents should also be held accountable" You've got to be careful with this sort of stuff. Perhaps if they end up in casualty the chav's will claim that on the BBC the commissioners said it was ok to batter their kids because of what they had done. Why phrase things in this way?
