11yr Old Shot Dead!

Just seen on the news an 11yr old boy has been shot dead in Liverpool.

Aparently the shooting was done by another 'youth' on a bike going past...

What the hell is going on?!

Definately time for a big shake up of the law...

Never mind all this fannying about with childrens rights etc etc, if they're capable of an adult crime they should receive adult punishment.

Does it matter. regardless of age most criminal acts are positive, ie they involve actually doing something, and therefore a degree of choice exists (should I or shouldn't I).

A crime is a crime and should be punished as such to the full extent of the law, which by the way is weak, Human Rights has destroyed justice.

Bring back hanging, the birch, public floggings, rolling witches down hills in spiked barrells......

Sterilisation in the way ahead! You should have to have a gene test and a parenting test and if you fail you get chopped!

Sorry? 'Nowadays'? When was this ever not the case?

And what the flip does this have to do with the headline in question? Jesus wept.

Oh, and kids shouldn't be tried as adults. That's barbaric.

I think they need to start considering 'breaking up' the large sink estates in Moss Side, Croxteth etc. Any household free of criminality gets moved to a new estate, the rest of them either get a £500 grant and a one way ticket to Bulgaria or put up in a couple of tower blocks 10 miles outside of the city. Then bulldoze the estates and put up some nice new houses - and bribe Al Qaeda to demolish the tower blocks. The obvious solutions are always the best!

It's called the Pathfinder project which, in practice, means the Government grabbing the homes of law abiding people at knock down prices.

The knee jerk reaction to Hungerford was ill thought and resulted in quite a few legally held ( till the law changed ) guns disappearing.........

The present situation, as was pointed out on the BBC news tonight; stems mainly from the flow of guns from eastern europe and a rapidly evolving culture of using guns to get respect.

How they actually get past the UK customs ( such as they are ) is a demonstration on how weak the present detection systems are for drugs/guns etc. Which is why the place is awash with guns and drugs.

If you look at the individuals involved in Hungerford and Dunblane, there were clear warning signs that should have been picked up. Having said that hindsight is a great teacher. They were horrific incidents.
