Grianane
The more you collect the worse classification the beach gets in the published guide. So if only one person went to douglas or ramsey and collected one bag of rubbish these beaches would be classed as cleaner than others.
Moghrey Mie
A conservation charity urges Isle of Man residents to get involved in a major survey and clean-up of beaches. Source : http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/world/...man/6968597.stm i think one of the problems getting people to take this on may be insurance. Would you be responsible for anything that happened to the volunteers while they are cleaning the beach?
Mission
Oh FFS please! How is it any different to someone taking a walk along the beach? The world's gone fooking mad, MAD!
Gladys
So are any beaches going to be cleaned up here? I would happily get involved, provided I could bring my big dog and the lad, and make a real day of it. Perhaps end it with a barbecue?
Mission
Will your dog be on a lead and under your full control Gladys? I'd hate to see someone sue your ass incase it scared them a little bit when it enthusiastically barks and runs around having a good time... Gladys
No, he won't be on a lead, he will be running free and the only thing to get scared will be him! On a serious note though, as he is very used to children, he likes them and wants to check out every small sized person to see if they are one of the pack. (He doesn't jump, just goes up and sniffs). That can be quite worrying for a little 'un, so if anyone is going to bring very small children we will work at the other end of the beach.
