Grianane
Whatever happened about the guy who got hit last year on Richmond Hill when he was stood by his car. Was anyone ever prosecuted, I thought they'd caught the driver.
xbones
I think this is one where we were hushed due to the persons involved?

thebees
The guy is still in hospital & as far as I know is still in a really bad way. I heard a rumour about who it was that crashed into him. In the words of the great Mr Millar - there aint no justice, just us! On a completely unrealted matter....If someone is gay now, could it be presumed that they were also gay before it was legal to be gay?
manxman8180
Was it actually being 'Gay' that was illegal, or rather the manefestation of such a lifestyle choice through the medium of public affection. A bit like smoking next year. Still legal but you can't have a fag in public.
*daniel*
There was a fund-raiser for him at his local a few weeks ago. We raised quite a bit, bands playing all day. The piccers are up on the myspace that manxman posted.
When Skies Are Grey
Christ I didnt realise he was that badly injured. Puts ones daily trivialities in to perspective doesnt it....I bet his family wishes the only thing they had to complain about was the price of shoes in two shops in Douglas! Best wishes to Chris and his family.....

Grianane
Why, was it someone significant. there can't be anyone on the Island who is deemed immune from prosecution, the law is the law...
manxman8180
Providing, of course, that they were deemed to have committed an offence. As I don't know the facts I couldn't possibly comment. My thoughts to Chris and his family and friends.

John Wright
No harm in saying the other motorist involved was Mr E Lowey MLC and that he has been charged with driving wiothout due care and attention as a result of the incident. That is public knowledge, so is the fact that the trial is in Douglas on 12 October. Lets be truthful, there has been no attempt to cover up. However we must not say anything which will put the trial at risk. He is innocent until proved guilty in court, not on here! My thoughts are with Mr Walmsley and his family as he hopefully recovers, slowly, a bit more each day.

Correct, and now that the original question in this topic is answered, I'm closing this thread until after the forthcoming court case.
