well it had to happen sooner or later, the game that launched the original Playstation is back on PS3, footage from TGS07 :

The 2 tracks on show appear to have been lifted off the PSP version but it looks very smooth, let's hope the soundtrack is as good as the gameplay!

Looks even better on a HD tv. It does look very smooth and very fast, looking forward to the demo!

wow it's been a year since the last post on this, at last it's been given a release date...

September 25th on the PSN, priced at £12

1080p and 60fps!!!

IGN gave it 9.2 / 10

Eurogamer gave it 9/10

I can't wait, just in time for me birthday as well!!! ;)

random quote from Eurogamer " WipEout HD has left me agitated and dissatisfied because the crisp 1080p visuals and rock solid 60fps presentation have made me realise just how compromised the Great HD Gaming Revolution has been. "

and some footage :

Wipeout is still ace

zone is mental, I would wager it is this that caused the delay due to epilepsy issues

Didnt even the revised version "fail" the epilepsy tests???

Anyone here got any problems to report? it seems alot of peopel are finding he game unplayable due to constant freezes?

I bought it anyways.

Question-

I did the first few levels last night and they seemed a bit pedestrian like. Thing get faster right?

Yes.

"Make no mistake though - this is not an easy game by any means. The first few grids won't pose too much of a challenge and will let you get through without too much of a fuss, but once you reach about the halfway point through the game, things start getting very tricky. Time Trial and Speed Lap times start getting lower and lower, and you'll have to not only race cleanly but hit every boost marker and find the perfect section to use your own boost (you get one per lap). The competition gets faster and more brutal, making better uses of their weapons and hitting more boost pads.

In short, the game gets tough. "
