Lonan3
So that means another selected member of the Legislative Council - and one that no-one on the island will have any say about.

Moghrey Mie
Religion. The great warmaker. As for legco, state and church should be seperate. I agree very much but Tynwald is not prepared to have the debate about the bishop's seat in LEGCO. They bring forward bills that assume that he will be there. If the Church of England is going to be represented in LEGCO why not the Methodists and the Catholics?
Chinahand
Anyone know what the position of the so called "think tanks" and pressure groups on the Island - PAG, Liberal Vannin etc - is on the Bishop and Legco. If they are attempting to be representative I'd hope they are disestablismentarian - is there any role for antidisestablishmentarianism anywhere today other than in a dictionary. Karellen
If the Church of England is going to be represented in LEGCO why not the Methodists and the Catholics? or indeed any island based representitive of imaginary, supernatural beings devised as a method of societal control.
