Being a former member of Her Majesty's Armed Forces I have little doubt that the Poppy Appeal is a good cause. The Isle of Man apparently raises more than £1 per head of population - over $£80,000 (UK comes in at about 47p per capita). How much, I wonder, is spent on Manx Radio?
