Tugger
This week's private eye has a scathing report about the BAe 146. Does anyone still fly these?

Nitro
Wakey, wakey Nitro ... a Dash 8 is a Q400 which is what this thread was about. Opps, I thought the Q400 was a new aircraft, I've just read on "Q400.com" that the Q stands for quiet, its bloody not!, the jet we flew on with BA was a lot quieter! GSman
Euromanx's dash 8s aren't Q400s
VikingRaider
Euromanx's dash 8s aren't Q400s Quite correct, they are Q200 & Q300 which are earlier models. The problem Q400 is the much heavier stretched version with an upgraded landing gear, though maybe not upgraded enough it seems. To be honest though I think it's pretty smart of EuroManx to get rid of their only 2 Dash-8's as to the general public a Dash-8 is a Dash-8 and if there are any more problems at least they won't be affected by the fall-out.
