She said: "The majority of available resources state that Demesne Road Boys' School opened in January 1907, although the first reference I found in was in a publication by Ronald S. Ely stating the opening was 1908." According to the Manx Notebook - The Examiner Annual - Principal Manx Events of 1907 - says it opened on 7th January 1907 (Opening of Demesne Road New Board School, Douglas.)
