Frances
since I'm hoping to be on 'the boat in the morning' any prognosis as to whether it will sail (& get to Heysham on-time for train!)
Tempus Fugit
looks still pretty stiff wind in the morning, up to 40mph westerly reducing slowly during the day, looks like the front will only have just gone through by mid day maybe a lull in the wind on wedneday but wind and rain for the end of the week not looking good for sailing I would phone before you leave home in the morning to see if there's any change
Frances
it went on-time - relatively smooth crossing (tail wind) - got in slightly early and for the first time ever (I think) the Virgin train off Lancaster was on time
Tempus Fugit
I think the prediction for wednesday morning may be a bit o.t.t. but showing 49.8mph wind at 3am, (it has reduced on the latest data as it showed 64mph earlier !) ... but that's just a breeze to us (edit - added source) update, - if you have anything loose in the garden get it tied down today, forecasting 60mph wind (+ gusts ?) 3am, and the spco now say : Tuesday 08 Jan 2008Douglas to Heysham-Departed at: 08:45 - Expected arrival: 12:15 Heysham to Douglas-Departure: 14:15 - Expected arrival: 17:45 Douglas to Heysham 1945 Subject to delay or cancellation due to weather conditions Wednesday 09 Jan 2008 Heysham to Douglas 0215 Subject to delay or cancellation due to weather conditions Douglas to Heysham-Departure: 08:45 - Expected arrival: 12:
