Planning Applications

Is the system of having to make a planning application not for a fixed structures.

 

No idea, I don't work for the planning department.

 

I believe your in the retail trade, are you allowed to use the pavement outside your shop for the use of your goods or the sale off them.

 

You know too much for a noob - you must be silenced. :P

 

Would you like to have a smoking area next door too.

 

Yeah, that'd be ace, I could skive off work for a bit for a smoke. :)

Planning applications don't just relate to structures but use of premises. So you might have permission to use the premises for retail, or food and drink, but if you change the use you have to apply for planning permission.

 

Thanks for that, but I cant get my head arround how they can apply for planning on something they dont lease,rent or own that being a paved pedestrian area owned by the ratepayer or is Castle street in private ownership ?.
