the mo beats experience
What online mp3 download sites are there apart from itunes? I buy loads of dancey stuff from sites, but where can you buy more mainstream stuff?
Ean
I've used 7digital.com in the past and it seems okay, I have a subscription to eMusic as well.

Yeah, i already use beatport and djdownload for my stuff cam, i'm looking for something more mainstream. Somewhere i can get bandy music and 80's stuff from. Something like itunes but not them, i don't want all that shite on my poota, and i want to be able to burn them to cd. Proper pay to buy sites. I fail to believe itunes has it all sewn up. Dames Aflame
Try Tesco.com --- they have downloads --- extremely simple to buy then burn and the selection ain't bad if you're looking for mainstream
Bananaman
Only ever go to recommended ones - I went to d/l Christy Moore's Aisling from a site (erm I think it was mp3player.com or something very similar), as it wasn't a particularly mainstream tune I assumed it was a very big and trustworthy mp3 site. I got a really nasty nasty virus - so bad I had to call out one of these computer wizardy types. There was no way I could remove it as you had to have several virus removal tools running at the same time and go into the registries and delete stuff and other such trickary. Be warned. Mission
I did a quick google for 'legitimate mp3 download sites' and it came up with this (pretty comprehensive) resource:- clicky Hope that's of some use to you Mo.
the mo beats experience
Nice one mish. I want legit tunes, and want to pay for them, i'm not into the shit quality that you get most of the time from file share.
RC-Drift.com
Used mp3fiesta.com and had no probs - so far and what I think is mighty cheap, 50p/album, although you have to download the album one track at a time which is a bind but the quality is great
Slim
Play.com have just launched digital downloads. Just tried it, you get a high (320kbps) mp3 in a .zip, no DRM crap and the downloads (usually) a fair bit cheaper than the CD. Looks perfect to me.
