Riverdance? Pretty sure that is the sinister looking cargo boat that we get here from time to time on the heysham run.

 

Edit - yep, if it's the same Riverdance then it's this bugger:

No idea why but that boat gives me the creeps.

 

Still, I hope those on board come to no harm obviously!

At the moment she lost her list and is sitting upright, 9 crew including the master are still on board. Todays team packet sailing has been scrapped due to high winds.

Out of interest, how does the Riverdance compare in tonnage etc to the Ben?

 

Good chopper rescue at St Kilda - Severe Storm - Fforce 11 according to BBC TV earlier this morning. I would so not want to be out in that.

Riverdance built 1977, 116M X 18M X 5M(draft). GTonnage = 6041

Ben built 1998, 125M X 23M X 5.8M(draft) GTonnage = 12,500
