Dames Aflame
I have a theory that nobody actually enjoys artichokes ---- we feel pressure from society to feel like we do - when we really don't except for the heart artichoke hearts rock........and you can take that to the bank Actually, a childhood memory of mine is artichoke night was a big night in my family when i was a youngin......so was fondue - so go figure --- it was the 70's! Anyway ---- the evening would build to a big creshendo of my dad getting to the heart of his artichoke, mushing it up in a huge bowl of melted butter ----- slurping it straight from the bowl and then exlcaiming -- "Ahhhh! Nector of the Gods!" that's when I knew my Dad was crackers
