Cret Posted February 13, 2008 Share Posted February 13, 2008 This lens seems to have an intermittent fault that causes "Err99" to display and the camera to lock up & need a 'reboot'. I'm assuming the fault is with the lens and not the camera as I haven't had this issue with my other lens. It was mainly working fine when I was meddling around with it last night, but on both occasions when I've gone outside and tried to use it it's not played ball. Might be an easy fix for someone I guess but I don't have time to be mucking about (due to too much mucking about time already needed!) so it's for sale. Not sure what it's worth like this seeing as I'm not sure how easy/cheap it is to fix or whether the fault is even with the lens or my camera somehow (ie I've read in places that this lens might need re-chipping for use with my camera). So I'll advertise it for £50, and if you're interested you can always try it on your own camera to see how it behaves as it might turn out to be fine & be a nice bargain.
