Mission
I've got to ask this (especially after the work they carried out on this stretch of road last year) but what, exactly, makes it such an accident blackspot? I really couldn't count the number of times I've driven that stretch of road without incident - I simply do not see it as dangerous in any way at all, so how on earth do so many people find it possible to have an accident on it? mojomonkey
I'd guess that its people being over zealous in their overtaking on the dual stretch that goes up the hill. They either run out of room or end up going into the corner too fast.
Nitro
Its like the mountain road equivalent, ie the south heading into Douglas and Douglas heading south, its also the main airport route and exactly like the mountain road it has its share of idiots!! How an earth can anyone crash on the Mountain......... etc
slinkydevil
I must admit when I used to drive over the mountain everyday for 5 years it was almost monthly I'd see a car in the field nr. windy corner. I could never understand how people lost control so easily.
