Let us examine some of the Minister of T&L's achievements so far during his short reign:

(Allegedly)

1) Did not respond to request from the MMCC for discussions about revising their involvement in running the TT until it was far too late - then handed it all over to the ACU who see it as a major earner and are simply paying people to do all that the MMCC did for free.

2) Did not respond to a request from the PBF for discussions about revising their involvement in running the PBF until it was far too late to properly organise a 2008 PBF.

3) Did not respond to advice from engineers about repairs needed to make the MER line from Laxey to Ramsey until it was far too late to put it right for 2008.

Can anyone spot the common theme?

Given more time he could close down the Island.

How could I have forgotten that 4) He has recently killed off the plan for leisure facilities at Summerland?

Summerland is not a good site for leisure facilities, crap parking & the site isn't that big

It would be a good site for a Danapartment complex, south facing, sea views etc

So why not offer a swap ? the evil empire gets another prime site and in return they give us a few acres of land near Douglas to build our multi purpose all- weather leisure facility.

They get to look charitable and we get rid of that eyesore at the smelly end of the prom

...at the smelly end of the prom

I think it is quite wonderful how all those flats have been sold to "rich transient workers" right near where there is a mega shit heap holding station under ground on the Promenade. ( and it will get worse once Ramsey, Laxey and Lonan come on the IRIS line :D)

Plus the aromatic waft of the oft rotting seaweed.
