finlo
Looks like a boy-racer type Clio? Had to be really. It was a chaved up Rover 200 series to be precise.

TerryMcCann
Shocking that a Rover can actually go fast enough to turn over
cheeky boy
So well done mate, you will go down in Manx motoring history along with the likes of the guy who was clocked going past the Lankie at 114mph in a 1600 Capri 1.6 capri?.......114mph?.... I have consulted with a couple of mates who remember this incident and it was 104mph However still good going and it and a good selling point for the car when he got banned
mbx
gidderwook, a friend of mine was in a merc that also got shunted by the van. One minute she was happily texting, sat in her driver's seat whilst parked up. Next thing, the car gets pushed, and there's a car upside down next to her

Frances
Isn't it unusual for cars to roll over after a slow speed incident - I wonder whether the car after these 'chav' mods was strictly road worthy and if so woudn't such mods mean that insurance was no longer valid ? Cret
Definitely unusual, but unlikely that'd contribute to it I think Frances. Mods are fine as long as you tell your insurance company about them.
rallybug
Definitely unusual, but unlikely that'd contribute to it I think Frances. Mods are fine as long as you tell your insurance company about them. And that they're legal, naturally.
nipper
As far as I can recall, no-one has managed to roll a car on the prom before About 30 years ago a young lady who add very recently passed her test managed to mount the running board of a horse tram and caused a considerable amount of damage to various cars. I'm not sure if she managed to flip the car though. I shall have to ask her when she comes over again.

Mr. Sausages
Reminds me of this Actually watching that I can see how he could have flipped. You only need to clip a curb at the wrong angle. That car looked like it was accelerating hard.
Amadeus
That car looked like it was accelerating hard. It certainly decelerated hard.
