Pat Ayres
First step in what could be an overhaul? About time something was done, happy to see it happen.

VikingRaider
Not exactly what it seems ... they are merely ensuring that it is more difficult to get onto the pier from the seaward end and that there are the appropriate warning signs. No doubt they need to be seen to do something in case a drunken sailor moors there and has an accident. Elf and safety and all that.

KERED
There have been three fellers (not Tree-Fellers!) working on the pier all last week, and they are there again today (on a Sunday, FFS!) They appear to be removing some metal-work. Does anyone know what is going on? (It is high time we had another conspiracy theory thread!)

Does anyone know what is going on? (It is high time we had another conspiracy theory thread!) Working on a sunday probably on double time as well. It's no wonder the money allocated for maintenance seems to disappear very quickly.
