Bombay Bad Boy
I went out on it yesterday for some uber hoonage, seemed fine to me. How about the frickin' Lezayre road, between Sulby and Ramsey, whens that going to be repaired?
integer
So now all the Ramsey to Douglas traffic is going to come down the coast road, find governers bridge closed and go along the prom. Genius....
slinkydevil
So we just need the Coast Road closed now - perhaps some line painting, a roundabout or something - come on DOT surely you can think of something else? I'm dissapointed they are only closing the mountain 9.30 til 4.30 though, that's far to organised. I quote myself from the Governor's Bridge thread: Roadworks on the Castletown RoadRoadworks at Braddan Bridge Roadworks at Governors Bridge We just need the coast road to be re-surfaced and Ramsey hairpin closed to straighten out that bitch of a corner. Just glad I walk to work now.
ccm
it's not a road – it's a race track ....and therefore priority must be given to those racing on it as opposed to those driving on it
Mr. Sausages
They've just managed to squeeze this into the 07/08 financial year. That means there'll be more money for next year! And more road works! Hooray!
Gags
Do we apply for any part road tax refunds anywhere when we cannot actually use the roads we are paying do dearly for?
Mr. Sausages
Although probably rhetorical, I don't think you've thought that question through. If we got a refund every time they repaired the road, they wouldn't have any money to repair the road with.
Mutley
Any chance they could finish the mess they've made of the road between King Bills and the airport?

Hugh Jampton
Strange how some people think it is only car tax which pay for roads.
Pat Ayres
Well, it's certainly not the tax on bleeding horses.
