The Old Git Posted November 30, 2004 Share Posted November 30, 2004 we had a neighbour who used to out to work early in the mornings, and would start his motorbike up with lots of revving, then nip back into the house for 5 mins leaving it running on his drive way. Our neighbour is an easrly starter but at least she fires her moped up and immediately drives off. sideways Posted November 30, 2004 Share Posted November 30, 2004 The reason they started at around 5.30am was that they needed to fill the wagon before about 2.30pm in the afternoon so that it could get to the Point of Ayre landfill tip before 4.15pm when it shut, now that the rubbish is going to the incinerator in Braddan I would have thought that they could have put the start time back, but there are probably other reasons that we don’t know about.
