nipper
(serious) I had cause to visit a neighbour in Nobles Hospital about a year ago. It was one of those separate rooms off the ward. The light fitting protruding above the bed was covered in dust and I found a dead fly when I laughingly did my Hattie Jacques impersonation as I wiped my finger along the top. Then there was a small splash of dark brown/red stuff on the wall (presumably from a previous patient). After the first 10 minutes of "how you doing" and catching up with the news my mind kept wondering to the splashy bit on the wall but I didn't really want to bring it in as a topic of conversation. We had a nervous laugh or two about the dead fly, you know, did the Novavirus get to it, was it a mutant fly etc. Eventually even this topic became rather too close to the situation. Have a look yourselves when you visit. If you have a relative or friend that needs cheering up in hossy, give nipper a pm and I'll be along.
