Overdose

Recommended Posts

Right, it's that time of year now where I feel the need to get a different bike, soooooo up for sale is my 2005 GT IT1. what set's this bike apart is the 8 speed Gearbox instead of traditional rear derailleur and cassette.

I'm looking for £1300 for a quick sale, no offers . A lesser spec'd new IT1 would set you back £4000.

Spec and a few piccies below.

Frame: '05 GT IT-1 with Push tuned rear shock.

Forks: Rock Shox Boxxer World Cup

Bars: Easton Monkey Lite

Stem: Thomson X4

Bar Ends: X-lite Disco

Shifters: Nexus gripshift

Cables: Avid Flack-jackets

Seat: SGD Bel Air (iirc)

Seat Post: SDG I Beam

Cranks: Shimano Saints with external Bottom Bracket

Chainring: GT Specific

Front Wheel:

Rim: Mavic tubeless 823

Hub: Hope Pro 2

Tire: Maxxis Minion, tubeless.

Back Wheel:

Rim: MTX

Hub: GT Specific (takes 20mm axle!!)

Tire: Maxxis Highroller

I'll be keeping the pedals to go on the new bike and the Saint brakes will be swapped with a set of 8" Hayes Hydraulic (personal preference). It needs two new spokes in the rear wheel and a new bearings in the front wheel, which I'll be sorting out this week.

The bike will be fully stripped down, cleaned, re-greased and rebuilt for the new owner (including the gearbox), although I must ask for a night to do this in as it's not a quick job!
