bluemonday
From Manx Radio Website The Manx Electricity Authority has revealed it’s losing more than three pence on every unit of electricity it generates. Chairman Eddie Lowey gave details of how much the Island’s power costs in a written answer to a question in the House of Keys today. Onchan MHK Peter Karran asked for a breakdown of costs the authority faces to generate each unit. Mr Lowey revealed each unit costs 16.41 pence, while the MEA charges just 12.73 pence. Rise time? ai_Droid
What's the capacity of the undersea cable? Is it fully used? Is it cheaper to use that than generate our own?
Doric
My mate worked on th eMEA gas pipeline. All the equipment they bought to do it, worth tens of thousands, they just gave it away to him!!! On top of the high price for the job!!!! I wonder if the MEA a publicity body, have auditors. I would like to know who they are because if they can't spot the likes of that one a mile off (and many examples like it) they must be pure manx or something. No wonder all these millions went "missing"!!!!!
