thebees
Well what I would like to know is, what it was doing 'in Isle Of Man waters' and why there were a load of local government scroungers on it (the governor and CM) can they not afford the Steam Packet? Titanic
Clearly size does matter, and advertising the old Ark as a aircraft carrier is a bit much. The Ark Royal and her two sisters are technically through-deck cruisers. A true aircraft carrier is a much bigger beast. Although, a proper carrier would be a great crowd puller in TT week. If we declare war on the USA in the middle of next May, they will send a couple of big carriers and warships free of charge to check out the threat in the first week of June (once they work out where the island is). Will get free air displays too with carrier based Hornets buzzing about. See if the tourist board will take up this idea. Well, it is free,
