Higgy
From earlier today. HGV turns corner, car tries to stand ground, HGV wins. MF: Not Reality, Manxuality Can we have the proper term please - RTC (Road Traffic Collision)
manxman8180
'Near Fairy Bridge' That's a bit of a loose term. You could equally say it was 'Near Santon Motel'. Or you could say 'At Blackboards'...........
Silentbob
If the trailer moved without any collision, it wase an unsafe load. If the Trailer moved as a result of a collision, it was not an unsafe load. Happy to clarify
Pat Ayres
And what I said was that, if the only means of restraint was a strap, ie; no bulkhead to stop movement over the fifth wheel, then the strap would need to be able to restrain the whole weight imposed upon it, 6 tonne? Obviously it was not, or wasn't present. Even in the event of a collision it should have held the load whilst loaded onto that particular trailer. Happy to clarify. Amadeus
Can we have the proper term please - RTC (Road Traffic Collision) I've just checked: There's no blue light on my car and no hiviz jacket in my wardrobe - that can only mean one thing: it was an RTBA Road Traffic Bleedin' Accident (I know, I know - there is no such thing as an accident, just a chain of events...)
